Police have arrested a man following an incident in East Devon where a schoolboy was approached by the driver of a van.
At around 8.30am on Wednesday 17 June a 13-year-old boy was approached by a man driving a white van, whilst walking to school, at Tipton Cross, on the Exmouth Road in West Hill.
The driver asked the boy if he wanted a lift and drove in front of him, before the boy ran off.
A local man, aged 25, was arrested this morning, Thursday 18 June, on the B3180 at Harps Lane in connection with this incident. He remains in custody at Heavitree Road police...
Police are appealing for witnesses after a child was seriously injured following a collision with a car in Crediton at the weekend.
The collision involving the boy, who was a pedestrian, and a blue Volkswagen Polo, happened at around 4.25pm on Saturday 13 June, on or close to the pedestrian crossing on East Street, near the junction with Church Street.
The boy was taken by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, with serious leg injuries and minor head injuries.

A child has died following a collision in Crediton at the weekend.
The 10-year-old boy, from the Crediton area, was involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Combo van shortly before 1.35pm on Saturday 28 February at Threshers.
He was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital but he died from his injuries.
His family have been informed.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with driving a vehicle that failed to stop after a road traffic collision, and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
A community was today in mourning after the death of a 12-year-old boy following a collision with a lorry in Exeter.
Flowers were laid at the scene of the accident on the junction of Topsham Road and the Countess Wear roundabout.
Among the heartfelt messages was one which read: “The little lad with the biggest, cheesiest smile. Taken far too soon. RIP little fella. Bunches, Shannon, Alfie and Ellie xxxxx”.

There was anguish etched on the faces of motorists and pedestrians as they passed the spot where a 12--year-old died after being in collision with a lorry.
The boy was crossing Topsham Road close to the Countess Wear roundabout when the accident happened.
He was treated at the scene but died soon after from his injuries.
Many drivers waiting at the traffic lights where bouquets are starting to appear shook or bowed their heads in sorrow.
Some pedestrians, including a mother with her own young son, stopped to read the tributes in silent contemplation....
A 12-year-old boy has died after after he was involved in a collision with a skip lorry on a zebra crossing in Exeter yesterday afternoon (Thursday 28 August).
Police attended a road traffic collision at around 3.10pm on Topsham Road, near Countess Wear.
The collision happened on the zebra crossing on the Topsham side of Countess Wear roundabout and involved a 12-year-old boy, who was a pedestrian, and a skip lorry.

Update 23 June: Exeter Police report have provided further details on the collision that occurred at approximately 5pm on Saturday 22 June 2013 between a Nissan Skyline and a 12-year-old boy on his bicycle on Alphington Road.
A police spokesman said: "The Nissan Skyline, driven by a 29-year-old local man, was travelling outbound from the city centre towards the Marsh Barton turning. The bicycle ridden by a 12-year-old local boy was using the dedicated cycle lane and was also heading outbound in the same direction as the Nissan.
Update: Jordan Cobb is still missing after jumping from Torpoint ferry. The Coastguard stood down last night but MoD Police carried out patrols throughout the night.
A police search advisor is at the scene and all agencies including police, Coastguard and MoD Police, were due to meet this morning to co-ordinate today’s search activities. Police officers will be conducting a search of the shoreline today and the missing person investigation continues.
