Development event declared a great success

Staff from some of Exeter’s top employers honed their skills at a development evening arranged by a city networking group.

The event, which was organised by the Exeter PA Network, saw more than 50 members attend presentations and training sessions at County Hall.

The network, which is made up of admin professionals from across Exeter and the surrounding areas has around 400 members. Devon Contract Waste signs £2.5m Princess Yachts deal

An Exeter-based waste management business, Devon Contract Waste, has secured a contract with Princess Yachts worth around £2.5million to manage the British luxury yacht manufacturer’s waste for the next three years.

The new contract will mean the majority of the commercial waste collected from six of Princess Yachts’ Plymouth sites – home to 2,050 staff – will be managed by Devon Contract Waste’s Zero to Landfill service which is unique in the South West. A former lawyer who hopes to turn his passion for pets into a business has hit his crowdfunding target with 12 days to go.

Matthew Dunne aims to help locally-owned vets practices compete on a level playing field with the powerful corporate owned operations.
