Residents and staff at Cumberland Grange in Exeter celebrated all things Irish for St Patrick’s Day this week. The home was decorated with shamrocks and balloons to mark the day.

Held on March 17th, Saint Patrick's Day actually observes the death of St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, but the day has come to be a huge celebration of Irish heritage and culture.

Cumberland Grange care home, in Exeter, was filled with red roses, cupcakes and music in celebration of St Valentine’s Day.

Staff and residents celebrated the day of love by creating heart-shaped decorations to decorate the home with. They had special messages on them showing ‘what love means to me’ which was heart-warming to read and understand how everyone feels and see’s love differently. 102-year-old Exeter woman beats Covid

An Exeter care home resident has celebrated her 102nd birthday after surviving Covid.

Muriel Dunford, who lives at The Old Rectory, contracted the virus in January of this year, but remained asymptomatic and after recovering, was able to enjoy her special day with staff and residents at the home.

An Exeter care home has taken visiting to a new level with the creation of a dedicated summerhouse for families and friends to use as a dedicated testing area before entering the home to visit their loved ones.

Exeter care home keeps activities going for residents in pandemic

The manager of an Exeter care home has rejected media reports that residents are being isolated in their rooms during the pandemic.

Janet Wigmore enjoyed an afternoon tea and cake at the Home with fellow residents. A new care home development in Exeter celebrates a major milestone, reaching the topping out stage, marking the completion of the latest phase of the construction programme for the 65 bed project.

The new home, officially named Cumberland Grange Care Home, has been built by Halsall Construction and will be operated by Barchester Healthcare.
