South West law firm Michelmores LLP is seeking applications from local charities who would like to become their next Charity of the Year, starting January 2016.

Over the last two years Michelmores has raised over £50,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support through events such as the firm's annual 5K Charity Run, coffee mornings, a Charity Art Auction and many more.

This year, the submission criteria has changed, and Michelmores is looking to support a charity local to its head office in Exeter.

Wheelchair football event in Princesshay

Three local men are cycling the length of the country to raise funds for Exeter-based charity Rainbow Living.

Duncan, Will and Jools are cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End to help raise money for a third Rainbow House which will provide a home for a group of young disabled adults in the local area. The trio are preparing in a variety of ways and have just completed the Nello, a 100 mile cycle ride!

Devon-based charity Rainbow Living is looking for 5,000 people to take a #RainbowSelfie to help raise £15,000 towards buying a third Rainbow House and provide a home for a group of young disabled adults.

An Exeter opticians is hosting a week-long fundraising event to raise vital funds for the Exeter Multiple Sclerosis Society. From Monday 27 July staff at Specsavers, located at 247 High Street, will be wearing t-shirts and distributing leaflets to raise awareness of the condition. Exeter ladies prepare double blow for cancer at Race for Life 10k

Hundreds of ladies are preparing to give cancer ‘double trouble’ at Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life by taking part in the 10k event at Westpoint Exeter this month.

Race for Life 10k will take place on Sunday, 26 July and over 600 determined ladies have already signed up to show the disease that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink.
