The Market will run from Thursday 21 November until Thursday 19 December.
The Cathedral Green, at the heart of the city centre, will be brought to life by the Market, with stalls offering unique, handmade and unusual gifts, decorations and food items – everything needed for a perfect Christmas celebration and to create a real Christmas buzz at the heart of the city.
The Exeter Christmas Market will represent the best of what Britain, the South West and the rest of Europe has to offer – with a mix of great food, excellent crafts, unique gifts and decorations.
Two free, family, drop-in and draw events at Devon Guild this half-term. Enter a special creative space in the gallery where you can draw, design and make a Venetian-style Halloween mask and lace-based patterns for a collective wall decoration. Activities include pattern-making, papercutting, stencilling and projection-tracing, and are inspired by our current exhibition intoLACE as part of the Big Draw Campaign for Drawing 2013.

Residents are invited to try out some of the old crafts their ancestors used to work in at a special event at the Devon Heritage Centre this month.
‘Creative Crafts: Past and Present’ will take place on Monday August 19 from 10am – 4pm, and will include demonstrations of lacemaking, spinning, knitting, crochet and other crafts. There will also be the opportunity to have a go at some of these crafts, which were once cottage industries are now enjoyed as hobbies for pleasure, as well as explore displays and exhibitions about various old crafts and the people who worked in them....
Wild Art Activities for children of all ages including paper making wild potions, camp fire cooking, clay work, charcoal making and drawing, felting, natural dyeing and more.
Experience creative activities on a beautiful farm woodland setting surrounded by animals and nature.
