An Exeter charity faced with rebuilding its headquarters is calling on artistic and creative individuals and groups to help by completing a short survey.
Over the last 30 years the Scrapstore has provided a wealth of arts and crafts materials to families, community organisations, schools, playgroups and artists across Devon.
Now in its fourth year as a charity the Scrapstore is looking to the future. Its current home, a hut in the corner of Belmont Park is over 75 years old and will need replacing or a major makeover.
Pinhoe Guides are holding a Christmas shopping evening on Friday 21 November.
Twenty tables will be selling various items including jewellery, craft items, Christmas decorations and cards for sale along with mulled wine, nibbles and mince pies.
There will be a raffle towards the end of the evening. All the stallholders have donated a prize, and we have a couple of other competitions during the evening.
All the money raised will go towards the Pinhoe Guides' trip to Switzerland in August 2015.

Chudleigh’s Christmas season kicks off on Thursday 4th December with a Christmas Fayre in the town centre, organised by the Chudfest committee in partnership with Chudleigh Town Council and Chudleigh Business Guild.
The lights will be switched on during a parade by the town's children. Father Christmas will be receiving visitors in his grotto. There will be live entertainment throughout the evening and many of the shops will operate late night opening. There will be a craft fair and a Christmas market in the Town Hall, plus additional stalls on the street.

Symposium, Beyond the Book Thursday 15 May, 10am-5.30pm This day-long event investigates what happens when artists consider the matter of books and asks if there is a UK book art movement. It is held in association with the exhibition at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen 'Beyond the Book (5 April-June) and is supported by Exeter University's Arts & Culture dept.

Registration for the 2014 Devon Open Studios event has now opened; artists and craftspeople in the county are invited to get involved.
Devon Open Studios, sponsored by Helpful Holidays, is the largest annual art event in the county attracting more than 20,000 visits to artists’ studios each year. During Devon Open Studios 2013, over 16 days in September, 250 artists opened their studios in 140 locations across Devon. The event was a tremendous success with total sales and commissions last year reaching over £135,000.
