A very fishy donation to Devon Air Ambulance Trust

Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) regularly receives slightly unusual donations from the community but this week sees one of the most unusual. Heléna Holt explained “We received a call from Mat Mander, Deputy Chief Officer of the Devon & Severn Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (D&SIFCA) recently, who advised they were making a donation of £792.38 to the Charity.” She added “This fantastic donation came from the sale of the mullet seized from an illegal net, found at the mouth of the River Erme in South Devon. Lapford gardens open for Air Ambulance

Lapford & District Horticultural Society open their gardens on the 28 and 29 of June in aid of Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Twelve unique parish gardens can be viewed including the school and allotments. Nine gardens are located in the village, with three about a mile away.

The floral selections range from petite patio-type gardens, to large displays, all with distinguishing qualities from variable soil to an assortment of flowerage. There will be the opportunity to meet the livestock of some of the gardeners, and plants will be available for purchase. Cream teas,...

SWH proud to support Devon Air Ambulance Trust

SWH were proud to present representatives from the Devon Air Ambulance Trust with a cheque for £502 last Thursday.

SWH, a multi-disciplinary contractor providing civil engineering, highways maintenance and construction services, has proudly supported the DAAT since 2008, having raised nearly £3,000 for the cause during that time. In 2011 staff voted DAAT to be SWH’s charity of choice which it has remained since.

There will be a special evening of mediumship with mediums Peter Bancroft, Linda Bullock and Clare Corner, taking place at Exeter Spiritualist Church, York Road, Exeter, EX4 6PF raising monies for Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT). Exeter Spiritualist Church has adopted DAAT as its 'Charity of the Month' for September and to coincide with National Air Ambulance Week 2013.

Devon Air Ambulance Trust to celebrate 21st Birthday at Darts Farm

It's been a busy few months for Devon Air Ambulance Trust, and there's no let up in sight, but they wouldn't have it any other way!

The Devon Air Ambulance on Tour event, taking the new Air Ambulance around the county finished in Paignton on Tuesday 13 August. The Charity is now looking forward to celebrating its 21st birthday in style with a Birthday Weekender on 7 and 8 September at Darts Farm.

Exeter accountants buy a video laryngoscope for Devon Air Ambulance

Fundraisers at chartered accountants Francis Clark have handed over £4,000 to Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) to buy a specialist piece of life-saving equipment.

The money, which was raised in a variety of ways including a charity golf day, sponsorship, dress-down days, raffles, bake-offs, book sales and donations, has gone to buying a video laryngoscope, which provides a high definition image of a patient’s airways. Hot on the heels of the successful Vintage & Variety specialist shop in Topsham, Devon Air Ambulance Trust is delighted to announce the launch of its second specialist shop. On Saturday 13 July, at 10.00am, Exmouth’s Devon Air Ambulance shop in Rolle Street will become a Discount Shop.

One year after being airlifted from a major crash, Matthew Tooke cycles the Devon borders for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

Over five days, 25-29 May 2013, Matthew Tooke will be cycling the entire borders of Devon for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT). This comes literally one year after he was airlifted from a terrifying road traffic accident.
