Devon Air Ambulance will temporarily be responding to patients solely by critical care car but its critical care paramedics will still be able to respond to patients with their specialist skills and equipment. Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants has presented Devon Air Ambulance with a cheque for £691. The donation brings the total the firm has raised for the charity over the last 15 years to £5,641.

Latest grant to Devon Air Ambulance from Devonshire freemasons brings total donation to £2.4 million

A grant of £4,000 to the Devon Air Ambulance from Devonshire Freemasons has brought the total Masonic support given to air ambulances across the country to £2.4 million since 2007.

The total contribution to the Devon Air Ambulance since 2007 by Devonshire Freemasons is in excess of £122,000.

Devon’s Air Ambulances operates across Devon up to 19 hours a day and assisted 1109 patients during 2018.

The grant, which comes through the Masonic Charitable Foundation, is funded by freemasons and their families from across Devon, England and Wales.

Exeter Racecourse will be highlighting the invaluable work of Devon Air Ambulance at its charity raceday on Sunday, November 24.

Racecourse general manager Jack Parkinson said: “Devon’s Air Ambulances are very much an essential part of the community we live in and we are delighted to support their vital work. Devon Air Ambulance starts carrying freeze-dried plasma

From this week, Devon Air Ambulance can provide its patients with an additional life-saving treatment. This wasn't previously available in Devon until the patient arrives at a hospital’s Emergency Department; the administration of blood plasma.

Devon Air Ambulance one of eight Air Ambulances supported by Hall & Woodhouse

Hall & Woodhouse, the leading independent family-owned Dorset brewer, has raised £114,287 in aid of eight local air ambulance charities in the past year, including Devon Air Ambulance.

At the beginning of 2018, Hall & Woodhouse’s (H&W) team members voted to make the eight Air Ambulances their official charity partners until 2020. Through the partnership, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, Great Western, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Kent Surrey Sussex, London, Thames Valley and Wiltshire Air Ambulance will receive support from the company.
