The Ottery St Mary Cemetery on Higher Ridgeway will now be protected from flower munching wild rabbits thanks to a £1,750 donation from local house builder Redrow.

Today Keith Miller, regional director of Redrow West Country, presented the Mayor of Ottery St Mary, Councillor Glyn Dobson with a cheque at Redrow's Otter Grange development, which is located next to the cemetery.

The funding will be used towards rabbit proof fencing to stop wild rabbits entering the grounds and causing damage to the grass and flowers that have been carefully planted by local residents.
