Exeter Marathon organiser CITY Community Trust has today announced two prestigious partnerships for its May event.
Exeter Live Better and Tozers Solicitors have pledged their support and sponsorship to the race, which is the city’s only marathon. The event, which takes place on May 19, will now be known as the Exeter Live Better Marathon, sponsored by Tozers.

In September 2018, Dr Michael Mosely presented the BBC Two programme Trust Me I'm a doctor called 'Can singing give you a natural high?'. They tested whether singing, dancing and cycling could boost levels of endocannabinoids - chemicals thought to be responsible for the 'runner's high'. The result showed that levels were increased by 20% when dancing or cycling. When singing, the levels of endocannabinoids were increased by 40% and big improvements were found in 'mood' together with reduced anxiety and feeling less stressed.

New singers, who like an alternative to a choir, have the first session free.
Since January 2007, Forever Young have met on most Monday evenings, from 7-9pm, at St Sidwell’s School, York Road, Exeter. In two hours we sing around 30 songs, chosen by singers, from a list of over 700 songs. With the words projected on the wall we sing to beautiful backing music from the best singers including Abba, Adele, Pavarotti, Dusty Spingfield etc....
