Max Smallcombe and Alex Hartridge join Truro City on loan

Max Smallcombe and Alex Hartridge have joined Conference South side Truro City on six-month loan deals.

Max, who has made one appearance for City in the Checkatrade.com Trophy against Oxford United, is a promising 19-year-old midfielder who has won caps for Wales at under-16, 17 and 19 level.

Alex, 19, has also made one appearance for City in the Checkatrade.com Trophy, against Chelsea, and is a highly rated defender who has impressed on loan at Treyew Road before.

Thrilling finals in Exeter community diversity football tournament

THERE were thrilling finals in the 14th Exeter City Supporters Trust’s One Game One Community Group male and female five-a-side community diversity football tournament, when eight male and six female teams competed for trophies and medals.

In the male final, Marcel's Allstars drew 2-2 against Isanbul Barbers and with no score in extra time, just as in many World Cup games, it was down to penalty shoot outs.

Marcel's Allstars triumphed 3-2 in the penalty shoot out.

Community tournament celebrating diversity will take place on World Cup Final Day

EXETER City Football Club is marking the day of the World Cup Final (Sunday, July 15, 2018) by holding its own special international tournament for both men and women's teams.

The Club will once again celebrate diversity in the local community when its annual summer five-a-side tournament is held at the University of Exeter’s Streatham Sports Park.

The competition encourages participation from black and minority ethnic teams and attracts players from many different parts of the world. Past finalists include sides representing Poland, Slovakia, Africa, Afghanistan, Lithuania...

England World Cup games to be shown on big screen at St James Park

Exeter City is delighted to announce that St James Park will be hosting a World Cup Fanzone which features a giant screen in the stadium for a minimum of England’s three group matches and the World Cup final.

St James Park will be a hive of activity, with drinks promotions, music and then of course the big matches live from the IP Office Main Stand at St James Park.

Grecians will play in Sky Bet League Two next season

Exeter City fell to a 3-1 Wembley defeat at the hands of Coventry City and will remain in Sky Bet League Two.

City were denied promotion by the Sky Blues who raced into a three-goal lead after half-time through strikes from Jordan Willis, Jordan Shipley and Jack Grimmer. Kyle Edwards then eventually put the Grecians on the score sheet late on in the Wembley encounter.

Jayden Stockley, Hiram Boateng and Ryan Harley all scored sublime efforts to book Exeter City’s place at Wembley on May 28th.

After taking the lead through Stockley’s strike in the first half, Boateng and Harley both fired home in style after half-time to put City three goals in front. Matt Green then scored a late consolation goal for the visitors, as City outshone the Imps on the night.

Grecians play out goalless draw in first leg of League Two play-offs! Exeter City held Lincoln City to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the Sky Bet League Two play-offs at Sincil Bank.

Despite both sides enjoying a number of chances in Lincoln, neither were able to find an advantage to take into the second leg.

Exeter City beat Colchester United 1-0 at St James Park to take the Grecians into the play-offs with some momentum.

Robbie Simpson netted the only goal of the game in the second half as he headed home from Pierce Sweeney's cross in a match where the away side were denied from the penalty spot as Christy Pym made the save from Sammie Szmodics.

Grecians fall to defeat at the Lamex stadium

Exeter City fell to a 3-1 defeat away from home against Stevenage in Sky Bet League Two.

In a match where the Grecians created a host of chances, it was the hosts who were the more clinical as Alex Revell claimed a hat-trick at the Lamex stadium.

Pierce Sweeney did pull one back for City from the penalty spot but it wasn't to be as City will now have to settle for a play-off spot as they continue to search for promotion.

Exeter City were left frustrated as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Crawley Town at St James Park.

In an entertaining match, the hosts took the lead when Enzio Boldewijn got free down the right and fired in, before Jayden Stockley levelled later in the first half.

The Grecians then went ahead in the second half when Stockley claimed his second of the game with a smart finish. But a determined Crawley side, to their credit, came back into the game and made the score 2-2 later on in the second period through Josh Yorwerth.
