Grecians win it very late in Cheshire

Exeter City scored two goals in stoppage time to beat Crewe Alexandra 2-1 at the Alexandra Stadium to move back into the play-off places.

In a match with little in it, Crewe thought they had won it on 88 minutes when Shaun Miller turned the ball home.

However, captain, Jordan Moore-Taylor fired in to level things a couple of minutes after the 90 before Jayden Stockley was on hand at the far post to send the travelling City fans home delighted when he headed in.

EXETER City Football Club said “no to homophobia” at its home game with Mansfield on Saturday, February 17.

The match was designated as the Club’s annual “Football v Homophobia” fixture and a number of initiatives to mark the day were organised by Exeter City Supporters’ Trust, its One Game One Community (OGOC) Group and Proud Grecians, the club's newly formed lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans (LGBT+) and allies supporters group.

It was the ninth time that an annual Exeter City home game has been designated as a Football v Homophobia match.

Grecians narrowly beaten at Kenilworth Road

Luton Town 1 City 0

Exeter City slipped to a narrow defeat away from home to league leaders Luton Town in Sky Bet League Two.

The Grecians, who spent much of the match without the ball against a strong Luton team, defended well for much of the game but weren't able to hold out.

Harry Cornick's shot in the first half took a wicked deflection off the impressive Jordan Storey and ended up in the back of the net as the Hatters claimed the win.

Football: It’s a family affair!

By Lee Alexander, Coventry & Exeter supporter.

I fell in love with football at an early age; standing on a wooden stool, supported by my Dad, watching Coventry City at home in the “covered end” at Highfield Road, or away on the asphalt banks of Fellows Park, Walsall.

It was a family thing; not just my family but being part of the football club “family”.

I was lucky enough to be at Wembley in 1987, to witness “one of the best FA Cup Finals ever” (quote: John Motson); I was with my Dad and both of my brothers and a “family” of friends. So, where’s this leading to...

Exeter City sign Kane Wilson on loan

West Bromwich Albion defender Kane Wilson says he is looking forward to ‘kicking-on’ and ‘progressing further’ having agreed a loan deal with Exeter City until the end of the season, subject to Football League approval.

Kane, 17, made eight appearances for the Grecians in the first half of the season having joined the club on transfer deadline day in August.

However, following his performance against Barnet on December 30 – where he scored his first goal in senior football – the highly-rated full-back returned to his parent club following the end of his initial loan deal...

City 0 West Bromwich Albion 2

Exeter City suffered a 2-0 defeat against West Bromwich Albion in the Emirates FA Cup third round tie at St James Park.

It was Albion’s first half dominance that inflicted the damage on City as early goals from Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez were enough to send the Premier League side into the fourth round, despite Christy Pym’s fine penalty save.

City 2 Barnet 1

Jake Taylor's late goal sealed all three points for Exeter City as they beat Barnet 2-1 at St James Park in Sky Bet League Two to round off 2017.

Kane Wilson scored his first goal for the club as he put the Grecians ahead in the first-half, but a free-kick from Ryan Watson levelled things for Barnet, who looked dangerous throughout.

But Taylor stepped up excellently to seal the win for City and score the Grecians' 100th goal in all competitions in 2017.
