Based on the success of last years night markets at the quay, Exeter Street Food have been able to add a new date to their diary, Piazza Terracina, every third Thursday of the month. Starting April 16th 4:30pm – 9pm

There will be events such as Salsa dancing and Music, pop up bar, massages, canoeing, leap of faith from the 23m tower wall at Haven Banks, boat hire and lots more! The Night Market @ Piazza Terracina will be held 16th April 4:30pm – 9pm.

The Street Food Revolution is here, at three prime Exeter City locations by April!

April sees the return of the popular monthly night markets to Exeter Quay and the launch of a new monthly night market at Piazza Terracina.

Custom House to reopen as visitor centre

Exeter's famous Custom House is set to become the centre of attention once again as a visitor and interpretation centre celebrating the history of the Quay and Canal.

The landmark building, which for centuries was used to collect taxes on goods entering the city, has in recent times been not been used to its full potential or underoccupied. Exeter City Council, the owner of the building, has for some years been exploring various options for its long-term sustainable use.

New restaurant opens on Exeter Quay

Brand new pub-restaurant the Samuel Jones created by St Austell Brewery, one of the South West’s leading breweries, has opened on Exeter’s quayside.

The brewery has invested £1.5 million in transforming a derelict 19th century former bonded warehouse in Commercial Road on The Quay into a barbecue and smokehouse-inspired venue which now boasts the most extensive range of craft beers in the Westcountry.

Body recovered from Exeter Quay

Police recovered the body of a man from the water at Exeter Quay yesterday morning (27 October).

Police were initially contacted and responded to an incident after growing concerns for a missing 35-year-old man in Exeter on Sunday evening (26 October).

Whilst police searches where underway a man was reported to have entered the water at Exeter Quay, near Haven Banks at around 1.15am.

Police helicopter, police staff and the fire service water rescue team were deployed and undertook an extensive search of the area, but were unable to locate the missing man.

Dragon Boat Racing

Exe-Calibre Dragon Boat Club are holding a Charity Dragon Boat Racing event at Exeter Quay on Sunday 21 July, raising money for ELF.

The races will comprise a series of heats over a course of approximately 200 metres.

Racing starts at 10am and the awards will be presented at 4pm.
