Join Jo Hunter of West Country Creative for a one day workshop making gorgeous, tailor made buttons.

The event will take place in the warm surroundings of our studio and a light lunch and afternoon tea is included in the price.

Polymer clay is a fantastic material for making buttons. In its raw state, colours can be mixed to suit and shapes can be easily textured and moulded into a huge range of shapes and sizes. Once baked, it's machine washable and lightweight, so if you are a stitcher, carder, knitter or felter - or just enjoy learning a craft, this course is for you....

New volunteer coffee morning at Poltimore House

Poltimore House, one of Devon's historic estates, is slowly but surely being brought back to life by the efforts of volunteers - and on the 16 March you can visit to meet the people involved and find out what part you could play in this great project.

"Your help is only limited by your (and our) imagination," explains Simon Tootell, Poltimore's Volunteer Manager.

Poltimore House Estate Guided Walk

Meet in the Chapel at Poltimore House just before 2pm for a guided walk around part of the old estate of Poltimore House, which is currently undergoing a major restoration project.

The walk is expected to be approximately 6km. On our return to the Chapel, around 4pm, afternoon tea and cake will be served (included in the price). Dogs on leads welcome.

Thelma Hulbert Gallery: Painting the Everyday

This year marks the centenary of the birth of the artist Thelma Hulbert and, as a special tribute, a collection of Thelma’s Still Life canvases will be shown at the gallery which bears her name, starting on 16 March.

In a unique exhibition exploring how different women artists see familiar everyday objects, visitors will be able to view rarely shown works by the late Thelma Hulbert alongside Still Life paintings by living contemporary artists Jessica Cooper and Vanessa Bowman.

Exeter College Choral Society in Concert

Vibraphonic returns to Exeter to celebrate all things diverse and progressive in reggae, jazz, hip hop, dub step, soul, funk, blues, drum 'n' bass, electronica and urban music.

Call for volunteers to take part in Superhero Skydive

Skydive UK and Age UK Exeter are putting on a Superhero Skydive and we need your help. We are looking for 10 volunteers to tandem jump from 15,000ft to raise vital funds. You can jump for free if you raise £395 in sponsorship and you will also get a DVD of your skydive at half the normal cost. Sandy Park named on long list for Rugby World Cup 2015

England Rugby 2015, Organising Committee for Rugby World Cup 2015, have today confirmed that Sandy Park, home of Premiership Rugby side Exeter Chiefs, has been added to the long list of match venues for Rugby World Cup 2015. The Devon venue has been identified as one of a number of potential hosting sites by competition organisers, who are keen to ensure the four-yearly tournament utilises venues all over the country.
