Staff at Exeter Family Friendly in Exeter are set to don colourful wigs at work to help raise money for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people.
Exeter Family, who recently won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Exeter Business Awards, is taking part in Wig Wednesday on 22 May, which encourages schools, workplaces and groups of friends to wear a wig for a day and make a donation to CLIC Sargent.

More than 400 women from Exeter, Mid and East Devon gathered in Exmouth at the weekend wearing flashing bunny ears to enjoy a night out with the girls while walking 12k for Hospiscare.
The Starlight Walk is one of the charity’s biggest annual events and this year the women enjoyed a new route that took them along the seafront and out into the Exmouth Countryside.
The evening began at Exmouth Rugby Club where the women enjoyed a warm-up session given by a Zumba instructor, Debra from Zumba Exmouth, with players from the club joining in to show their support.

The Lord’s Taveners charity hosted a very special British Lions dinner on 17 April at Exeter University's Great Hall.
The evening was a massive success with star guest speaker Warren Gatland, the British Lions Manager for the forthcoming tour to Australia, supported by former Lions and rugby giants Will Greenwood, Paul Ackford and Scott Quinnell.
Tales of skill, and skulduggery mainly in the scrum, entertained a full house of 400 guests and raised over £11,000 for the charity.

Are you a a keen swimmer? Then we have just the event for you! Come along and have a swim in beautiful surroundings, and raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) at the same time. The one mile swim, which takes place on Sunday 15 September 2013, starts and finishes on Broadsands Beach in Paignton. Entry is just £20, although swimmers are asked to raise £30 sponsorship too.

Devon singer and TV Star from The Voice , Adam Isaac, has released a charity single which seeks to highlight the experiences of many young people across Britain today who suffer from homelessness. It is estimated that 1 in every 100 young people become homeless at some stage, representing over 75,000 people. Commonly they experience family breakdown and rejection.
