A la Ronde's Christmas Tree Festival is open each weekend from Sunday 30 November until Sunday 14 December.
Over 20 local community groups are decorating their own trees, including the British Legion poppy tree and driftwood creations as well as traditional trees. The event is something for all the family to enjoy with a festive trail, storytelling, live musical entertainment from the La La Choir and River City Chorus and hot drinks. On 3 and 4 November, A la Ronde on the edge of Exmouth will be the unique setting for a photography workshop with an autumn twist.
Expert tutor and digital photographer Bryan Webb MA (RCA) will lead the 1 ½ day workshop and participants will enjoy learning how to get more out of their camera and achieve successful, well-composed photographs. Work by art students from Exmouth Community College is being shown at A la Ronde, the sixteen-sided National Trust house near Exmouth from 9 to 22 October.

Volunteers at A la Ronde, the National Trust property near Exmouth, are busy sorting books of all shapes and sizes, titles and themes ready for the forthcoming season.
Salli Carr-Griffin, Assistant Property Manager, says: “The second-hand book sale area in the house is in its fifth year and is hugely popular. We raised over £9,000 through it last year, so we are asking our supporters to sort out their book shelves once again and donate any surplus books they may have. Funds raised go towards conservation work of the unique and quirky collection in the house”.
