Devon student to showcase work at London exhibition

A Devon student is one of 40 students showcasing their work at a prestigious exhibition to be held at the Bargehouse, OXO Tower in London.

Karen Sanders, who splits her time between Devon and Bristol, is one of several students who will be showcasing their photographs in the exhibition entitled ‘ FLUXURE’.

The exhibition, which offers a private view on June 19th with the exhibition opening to the public for free from the 20th to the 23rd, is being held to mark the end of the students three year degree course in Photography.

Chiefs side to face London Wasps

Exeter’s Wood&Wood Signs has been revealed as one of the UK businesses behind the development of Heathrow’s brand new Terminal 2 building. The local company scooped the £1.4 million contract to design, manufacture and install more than 5,000 signs throughout the new terminal building set to open in June 2015.

Campaigners from Exeter lobby Coca Cola in London

Campaigners from Exeter lobbied giant firm Coca Cola at its UK Head office in London yesterday, calling on the company to make sure our favourite food and drinks are ethically produced.

Katherine Hawkins, Fiona Bell and Emma Anderson, all aged 20 and living in Exeter, travelled to London to join other campaigners across the country at Coca Cola's head office in Hammersmith, west London to ensure that poor people are not being forced off their land and out of their homes to make way to grow crops for Coca Cola products.

Last Sunday, 20 Devon & Cornwall police officers cycled from Exeter to London in a day in aid of FORCE Cancer Charity.
