Update: A 41-year old male from Sidmouth, Nicholas Jameson, has been charged with the murder of a 71-year-old Nottingham man, Brian Kemp. Jameson appeared at Exeter Magistrates Court on Saturday 28 September 2013, where he was remanded in custody to appear before Exeter Crown Court.

A 33 year old woman, Teresa Rylands, has been charged with the murder of a Neil Mitchell, a 48 year old man. This is in connection with an incident at an address in Newton Abbot on the 13th August 2013. Today, Wednesday 24 July, Andrew Cane aged 31 from Exmouth was convicted of the murder of his mother Linda Sheard, who was found dead in her home at Port Mer Close, Exmouth, on 11 July 2012. Cane was given a sentence of life imprisonment, to serve a minimum of 15 years.
Following the verdict, Detective Inspector Gregg Dawe said: “I would like to thank Linda Sheard’s family for the assistance they have given the police in the difficult circumstances that they found themselves in. This being that Andrew Cane, the offender for this murder, was the victim’s son.
A 38-year-old woman from Ernesettle in Plymouth is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates this morning (Tuesday 30 April 2013) charged with murder.
Angela Douglas was arrested during the evening of Sunday 28 April 2013 and detained at Crownhill Police Station.
The arrest was made after a 73-year-old Plymouth woman had been admitted to hospital. She died the following morning.
The suspect was detained and interviewed by detectives before being charged with the offence and detained at the police station pending her court appearance.
Update: Formal identification has now been carried out and the deceased has been named as Keith Dance aged 33 years who lived on Molesworth Road in the Stoke area of Plymouth.
Jacqueline Cooke aged 29 of Victoria Place and Ian Gollop aged 50 of Molesworth Road – both Stoke addresses - have been charged with the murder of Keith Dance. They are both due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning, Thursday 14 March.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in Torquay. Police were called to a property in Shelley Avenue at 6.40am today (6 March) and discovered the body of a 54-year-old woman. The man has been taken to Torbay District Hospital but remains in police custody.
A police investigation is underway and scenes of crime officers are conducting an examination of the property today. The cause of death has yet to be established and next of kin have not yet been informed.
A man will appear in court today (18 February) charged with the murder of 76-year-old Michael Brincat in Plymouth.
Brian Anthony Short, 52, of Devonport, was charged by police on Saturday and remains in custody pending an appearance at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today.
Mr Brincat was found deceased at his home in Granby Way, Plymouth, on Thursday 7 February.
