The charity team at Otter Nurseries in Ottery St Mary has announced this year’s charity partnership with the Baton.
The Baton is run by Alan Rowe, well known in the area for his charity work. Alan founded the organisation to raise awareness of life in the British Armed Forces and ensure ex forces personnel are given the right support when they return to civilian life. The Baton also offers practical support to those in need, on a case by case basis.

The extremely popular Magical Kingdom at Otter Nurseries in Ottery St Mary is set to open this year on Saturday November 14th, and everyone’s invited.
Visitors will be able to enjoy shows from the Dartmoor Reptiles team with the opportunity to get up close not only to reptiles but also spiders and ‘mini-beasts’.

Three projects to make Cranbrook a greener town were given awards of achievement by the RHS ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ campaign.
The projects ‒ a roadside verge, an area outside St Martin’s Primary School and another at the Younghayes Centre ‒ were judged ‘outstanding’, ‘improving’ and ‘thriving’ by the RHS assessor.

Experienced florist and arts tutor, Tracy Johnson will be showing course attendees how to create a beautiful display based on the theme ‘ Seaside Memories’, using seasonal flowers and seaside . The workshop is suitable for people with any level of flower arranging experience from beginner to advanced. It runs from 2.30 to 4.30pm and costs just £15 per person. The price includes all materials, flowers, tuition and refreshments.
