Police are appealing to the public to help them track down the man responsible for an aggravated burglary that left a 77-year-old man unconscious in his home in Newton Abbot.

Brian Newton returned to his home in the Buckland area around 12.30am on Sunday 25 October to find his front door open. When he entered the lounge there was a man standing behind the door. The intruder demanded money before attacking Mr Newton and knocking him unconscious.

Body pulled from water at Exmouth Marina

The body of a teenager was pulled from the water at Marina in Exmouth at the weekend.

Police were called out to the Marina just after 1pm on Saturday (17 October), after a body was discovered in the water.

The body, believed to be a local 19-year-old, was recovered by the RNLI.

Police say they're not treating his death as suspicious.

Detectives investigating the death of a man in Newton Abbot have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Adrian Munday, 51, was found dead at a property in Wain Lane, Newton Abbot at around 11am on Tuesday 6 October.

The investigation found that there had been a fire at the address which was extinguished before police arrived.

Detectives have launched a murder enquiry following the suspicious death of a 51-year-old man in Newton Abbot.

Adrian Munday [pictured] was found deceased at a property, at 8 Wain Lane around 11am on Tuesday 6 October.

The investigation found that there had been a fire at the address which was extinguished before police arrived.

The death was being treated as unexplained, but a further forensic examination has now determined that Mr Munday had sustained serious injuries which were not related to the fire.

Police investigating a burglary at a property in Exmouth last week are appealing for information.

A property on Valley Way was broken into sometime between 5.50pm and 10.15pm on Friday 9 October.

Police are warning residents about the latest scam that has seen some victims duped out of thousands of pounds.

Computer Software Service Fraud, also known as the Microsoft Tech Scam, relates to predominantly Indian call centres cold calling victims claiming to be from legitimate businesses, such as Microsoft.
