Exeter's Northcott Theatre has revealed to The Exeter Daily that it has a very exciting opportunity coming up for a small but dedicated group of volunteers in the New Year.

Devon County Council leader John Hart will switch on the lights on a special Christmas tree to mark the topping out of a world class outdoor education and training centre in Exeter.
The £5.6 million centre on Haven Banks has now reached its highest point with the completion of the 25-metre climbing tower.
The centre itself will be completed in June. It will replace the existing, outdated activity centre on the canal basin.

Gay weddings in the Churches of England and Wales will be explicitly banned under new laws on same-sex marriage, the Government has announced.
Other religious organisations will be able to "opt in" to holding ceremonies, Culture Secretary Maria Miller said. Exeter City Council has welcomed the news that Transport Minister Simon Burns is to consider electrifying a further stretch of railway line, from Newbury to Westbury. The line from Paddington to Newbury is already set to be wired, together with the line to Bristol and South Wales, as part of the current electrification programme.
