Devon Chamber of Commerce has launched its #EUandMe Working Together campaign to combat the spreading climate of fear across the county.

Dawsonrentals confirms Bandvulc tie-up

Dawsonrentals|truck & trailer has confirmed an exclusive four year agreement with Bandvulc, the UK’s largest independent truck tyre retreader. Campaign launches for more Lollipoppers

Motor insurance specialist, Churchill Insurance, has launched a nationwide campaign to identify schools in need of a Lollipopper and have pledged to recruit and deploy 50 in areas of need for the next school year. The University of Exeter has been named as the latest site to deliver Health Education England’s Masters programme in Genomic Medicine. Exeter will join nine other providers in the UK securing the institution’s position as a leader in the field.

Exeter will collaborate with the universities of Plymouth, Bath and Bristol, as well as the NHS Genomic Medicine Centres in the region, to deliver the masters programme to healthcare staff throughout the South West region.

Lidl UK’s decision to locate a major regional distribution centre at a site near Exeter Airport is a huge vote of confidence in the area and will prompt other national retailers to follow in its footsteps, says property advisors JLL.

Government commits to review pavement parking policy

A bill to strengthen and clarify the law on pavement parking was withdrawn last week (4 December) following a commitment from Government to undertake a policy review and convene a round table next year to further examine the implications of any legislative change.

The Pavement Parking Private Members’ Bill called for the law on pavement parking to be strengthened – only allowing people to park on pavements that have been specially designated to allow it, making it the exception rather than the rule.
