Grant boost for mental health support

Enterprise Holdings Foundation has donated £1000 to Step One to boost its mental health services.

Step One supports people to manage their mental health, achieve employment goals and live more independently.

The Exeter-based charity’s work includes providing a hospital in Devon for people experiencing a mental health crisis, and a community centre offering free courses and activities so people can manage their mental health and wellbeing.

Dartmoor Folk Festival: One of the best family-friendly folk events in the South West

FUN for all the family is assured at the 41st Dartmoor Folk Festival, all at modest prices or free-of-charge.

Students at Newton Abbot’s pioneering technical college were put through their paces when a Royal Marine Chef visited to lead an energetic cooking masterclass.

Year 10 and Year 12 students of South Devon University Technical College (UTC) received a lesson in healthy cooking from Colour Sergeant Mike Beaton. Founder of the popular Marine in 15 videos which have received over 13,000 views on YouTube, Mike put the students through their paces in a blood-pumping cooking masterclass in the college’s Challenge Arena.
