Police have charged a man in connection to a death of a women in Exeter over the weekend.

Police were called at around 4pm on Saturday 18 February following reports of an assault in Ludwell Valley Park, which is in the Wonford area of Exeter.

Lorna England, aged 74 from Southbrook Road, Exeter, died at the scene.

Cameron Davis aged 30 of Exeter Road, Exmouth, has been charged with murder. He is being held in remand and is due to appear before Exeter Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 20 February.

Man charged with murder to appear in Exeter Crown Court

A 19-year-old man charged with the murder of Stephen Cook in Exeter is due to appear at the city’s crown court on Thursday 2 February.

Brian Jewell, of no fixed abode, initially appeared before magistrates on Tuesday 31 January where the case was referred to Exeter Crown Court. Jewell was remanded in custody.

The woman whose body was discovered in a property on Alphington Road in Exeter on Wednesday 10 January 2018 has been formally identified.

The body of Geraldine Mallor, 32, from Exeter, was located by Ambulance Services who informed police. Her next of kin have been informed.

Darrell Rose, a 36-year-old man from Exeter, has been charged with murder and will appear before Exeter Crown Court on Monday 15 January 2018.

Two Exeter men have today (10 August) been convicted of the murder of James Woodhouse, having killed him over a £700 drug debt, before one of them attempted to dispose of his body in a wheelie bin.

Brett Edwards, 38, of St Thomas, Exeter, and Thomas Killen, 33, of North Lawn Court, Exeter, denied killing 30-year-old James Woodhouse in November 2016 but were found guilty at Exeter Crown Court.

Both Brett Edwards and Thomas Killen were sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 17 years.
