Cumberland Grange care home in Exeter recently raised over £300 following on from a successful coffee morning held at the home raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, also known as the RNLI.
Volunteers from the RNLI were also present at the coffee morning with their pop-up shop, selling an array of different goodies from cards to diaries and ornaments, with all funds going straight to the charity. Speak George Hislop also attended and held an informative talk on the history of the RNLI which residents and community members found incredibly insightful.

Exeter-based homebuilder, Tilia Homes, has achieved the top score in a major industry survey for customer satisfaction for the first time in its four-year history.
The rating comes from the Home Builders Federation’s (HBF) annual New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey, widely regarded as the industry’s benchmark for quality. Thanks to the supermarket’s ongoing partnership with parcel locker provider InPost, more customers can now easily collect and return online orders at the Exhibition Way, Exeter store.
Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket first trialled the lockers at 22 stores across the country in December 2023.
