Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin’s South West offices (Exeter, Plymouth and Truro) have been busy organising and taking part in various fundraising challenges for their chosen charity, Exeter-based Farms for City Children , and have raised £10,000 since January 2020.

A pioneering project to help Devon communities become more resilient against flooding and climate change has been awarded just over £7 million of Government funding.

Tesco customers in Devon taking part in a new campaign to provide meals to children living in food insecurity have enabled thousands of meals to be donated.

In the past three weeks, the Devon Tesco stores have given a donation for every vegetable and piece of fruit across all its stores.

Devon has the opportunity to become the heart of a ‘Southwest Powerhouse’ with communities creating their own power, selling what they don’t need and then reinvesting proceeds into local projects such as giving local homes a net-zero retrofit.

Students and other renters warned to be wary of paying 'banned' fees

Private tenants such as students looking for new digs ahead of the autumn semester are being warned not to get caught out by costly rental fees which have now been banned.

The warning, from the Heart of the Southwest Trading Standards Service, which covers Devon, Plymouth, Somerset, and Torbay, follows a recent audit carried out by the Service, of 81 lettings agents across the service area.
