Following on from a very successful event in August, local brain injury charity Headway Devon are looking forward to a Christmassy Coffee & Crafts by the Quay event this Saturday.

Taking place at the XCentre on Commercial Road on Saturday 7th November from 10am-4pm, this coffee and crafts event is the perfect place to get ahead on the Christmas shopping and discover some unique gifts!

With lots of local craft stalls to browse selling a huge range of beautiful items there should be something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Rural roads in Devon the deadliest in Britain

Figures from the Department for Transport reveal that out of all the highways in the county, rural roads carry the highest number of fatalities - with 83 per cent of the 23 deaths in 2014 occurring on Devon's rural network.

Last year there were 1,668 casualties on Devon’s rural roads - 19 of who lost their lives.

A rural road could be any class of road away from main areas of population that may join towns and villages – but often not the road that runs through them.

Suppliers and customers noticed something different about the AnTech team last Friday as they wore pink to support ‘Wear It Pink’ Day, a national campaign to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now.

US author surprises Devon schoolgirl

Ten year-old Holli Williams wasn’t much of a reader – in fact – she wasn’t enjoying reading at all, until she visited her school library and discovered a book by Michael Dahl – and in that moment, she became hooked on reading.

2016 Devon Farm Business Awards launch

The 2016 Devon Farm Business Awards were launched on Monday 2 November, on the farm of Devon’s 2015 “Farmer of the Year”, John and Clare Clapp, at Hartnoll, near Tiverton.

The awards are organised by a partnership of the Addington Fund, the Devon County Agricultural Association (DCAA), and Stephens Scown Solicitors.
