Open Day and Ask the Funeral Director in conjunction with Dying Matters Week
On Saturday 13th May 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., W H. Squires & Son (Exwick premises) will be having an open day and an opportunity to ‘Ask the Funeral Director’ any questions you may have – however strange you may think they are! This will be free entry but donations for Hospiscare will be welcomed for Cakes and refreshments.
This will be in conjunction with ‘Dying Matters’ week. Dying Matters is a coalition of over 32,000 people nationwide trying to get more people talking about death, dying and bereavement. As well as ‘Stanley’ our vintage hearse , different types of coffins on display and ‘unusual ideas for cremated remains’ display, and offering help and advice on pre-planning funerals, as well as Cartridges Solicitors from 10 a.m. until 12 noon to offer help and advice on legal formalities and Wills, we will also have representatives from Exeter Hospice and Living Well Dying Well to answer questions about end of life care. There will be opportunities for public participation and discussion should they wish.
Although this sounds like quite a morbid event – in fact it will be the complete opposite!!
