Following a nomination process, Exeter BID is able to announce the first six members of the newly formed BID Board.

The new Board directors are Helen Scholes, Marketing Manager at Stagecoach South West, Wayne Pearce, Centre Director at Princesshay, Ben Barlaba, The LXS @ Centre Stage, Mattie Richardson, Owner of Bunyip Beads & Buttons, Patrick Cunningham, Director at Exeter Phoenix and David Goodchild, Owner of Cavern Club.

Derek Phillips, on behalf of the BID Board said: “I am delighted to see the range and depth of the new Board members which I am sure will be enormously beneficial to the future success of the BID.”

As numerous applications were received for the remaining Board places open for nomination, a ballot will now take place.

All BID levy payers are eligible to vote on their preferred representative for each area.

The areas that have yet to be filled and are going to a vote are Area 3 (High Street North West and Castle), Area 5 (Guildhall and Lower High Street) and Area 8 (Gandy Street, Harlequins and Queen Street). A representative for Area 4 (Cathedral Green, Yard, Close and High Street) has yet to come forward so this will now be up to the BID Board to decide who will fill this vacancy.

The ballot papers include details of all nominees and will be sent to BID levy payers on Monday 20 April with the closing date Wednesday 29 April.

Results of this ballot will be announced on Friday 1 May and the first BID Board meeting following the new appointments will be held on 7 May 2015.
