Aaron Deakins, a south west born actor fresh off working on Back to Back productions and working and contributing with Broken Record pictures has now found himself returning to a certain short film project he had worked on and helped with less than two years back.

Tape 51 was a small budget  film which was filmed in the found footage style of horror. Directed by Adam Nancholas and co written by Aaron himself the short film centered around his character who was a medically discharged, but not all is as it seems and Aarons character David Mason goes straight to his friend Alex to try and prove to him that what he was working with on the military base was not human. Alex the CO star in the film is dragged along to what he believes is a prank. Alex ends up finding out that the situation is far from that.

Aaron after getting his first feature film role in the Independent SCI FI film Alien Outbreak had a taste for another "out of this world" sort of role, being a lover of action and SCI FI himself jumped at the chance to work on another. And so TAPE 51 was created, the film is still doing rounds after a small screening at the ACT theatre in kingston upon thames in London as well as Kingston university. Aaron was approached by Norwegian student/filmaker/director Simone Herstad  to work on the sequel, reprising his role as David one more time, something Aaron was more than happy to do.

Director Simone Herstad mentions in her re casting of Aaron from the original. "Aaron brought that next level of performance magic to the small film, his paranoia led the characters into life threatning situations and made the film truly what it became, im excited to work on the sequel to this and working to bring the next chapter of this SCI FI/horror film to life."

"I found the original film such a fun experience to do, working on smaller projects have that kind of nitty gritty feel to them and i feel the passion with these sorts of films work more for the sort of found footage look" Aaron admits upon the news of him coming back to this small "series"

Aaron is shooting this film over the next few months in between other films he has also found himself cast in. Managing his busy schedule has become a full time job in itself with Aaron as he prepares to start shooting from April onwards as his pre filming schedule for TAPE 52 requires his usual muscular physique to be slimmed down as he returns as the paranoid and slightly mentally unstable EX solider.

This sequel is what director  Simone Herstad is calling "Bigger yet in line with the original, ambitious yet down to earth"

The filming schedule is roughly a small 30 days not long for a film but something the director feels will push the cast and crew hard and make sure the asthetic of the film stays in line with the "small yet larger than life" tones of the previous film.
