Team Mi-space exceeds £50,000 fundraising target for Prostate Cancer

Mi-space’s charity cycling team has exceeded their fundraising target of £50,000 one month ahead of their June 7thride from London to Amsterdam, in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

This is the second year that Mi-space has participated in the event, last year raising £14,300 with a team of 11 riders. This year Mi-space set out to achieve far more, in terms of rider participation, awareness of Prostate Cancer and raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK; they now have a contingent of 32 riders.

Action for Dementia in the city

What a fabulous week collaborating with partners for Dementia Action week 2019.

We were involved in three events which involved family Carers hosted by Bluebird Care Exeter & East Devon, an informal Year 6 assembly at Exwick Heights Primary school, finishing the week with a play performed by local theatre company Substance & Shadow hosted at Cadogan Court care Home part of RMBI Care Co.

Boston Tea Party celebrates 1st Cuppaversary by launching 'National Making Things Better Day'

One year ago, independently owned coffee chain Boston Tea Party (BTP) – which has 22 coffee shops across the UK, including in Exeter, Plymouth and Barnstaple – took the bold step of banning the use of single use coffee cups. It is celebrating its first Cuppaversary by making 1st June ‘National Making Things Better Day’.

From now on, each year on 1st June, BTP will pledge something more for the planet. This year, it is removing single use plastic milk bottles.
