Exeter City believed to be considering Sam Magri

Rumours have emerged that Exeter City are considering signing Maltese defender Sam Magri.

The Ebbsfleet United player is now out of contract and on the look out for a new team. The 25-year-old hopes to return to the Football League having spent the last four years playing in the National League .

Magri began his football career at Portsmouth and was considered something of a rising star. However, a breakthrough alluded him and he went on to sign a two-year deal with Queen’s Park Rangers where he failed to make a single appearance for the first team.

Rare Orders of Chivalry to be auctioned by Chilcotts

A fascinating collection of medals with German provenance is to be auctioned by Chilcotts in the June Fine Art, Antiques and Collectors Items sale.

They are 19th century German Orders of Chivalry and one late 19th century medal - thought to have once been awarded to an aristocratic German family. Included is the Royal Guelphic Order, which was established as a British medal in 1815 during the Georgian era; when Victoria became queen in 1837 it became a Hanoverian Order, only awarded in Germany.
