Exeter gym equipment helping make Exeter 'most active' in England

New gym equipment has been unveiled in leisure centres across Exeter. The new gear is part of a £3m investment in the city’s sports facilities. Four Exeter City Council owned leisure centres across the city are enjoying an injection of cash, improving facilities and bringing them up to 21st Century standards.

A Special Friendship

A friendship formed at an Exeter community centre has given confidence back to short story writer, Linda Lewis.

£1,000 Community Fund available to help with environmental project

For its next Well Built Community Fund, RGB Building Supplies is inviting groups, schools and charities to get in contact with details of environmental projects for the chance to receive £1,000 to spend at an RGB branch.

Whether a community group is looking to create an eco-friendly space, a school would like to add a green area to teach pupils about the importance of protecting the environment, or a charity would like materials to help protect an open space in the local area, RGB wants to hear about it.

Exeter pupils walk 10 miles to mark First World War centenary

On Friday 9th November, 100 students from Isca Academy in Exeter marked the centenary of the end of World War One by walking 10 miles from Exmouth to Exeter.

The walk was designed as an act of remembrance, retracing the steps of 100 young men who left their Devon homes to make a sacrifice for their country one hundred years ago.
