Dr Jon Brown, at the University of Exeter Medical School, has just started a three-year project to examine the complex networks within the brain, after initial evidence revealed that two areas, which are key to learning and memory, communicate abnormally under certain conditions.
Dementia affects 820,000 people living in the UK, meaning 25 million people have a close friend or family member with the condition...

With Social Media marketing taking on a life of its own in recent years, we at The Plum Consultancy ask what is relevant and what isn’t? How many people are drowning under the barrage of tweets, shares, likes, LinkedIn requests and Google+ notifications? This is my 4th blog about my journey to compete as a figure competitor with the British National Body-Building Federation (BNBF) in July this year. In my last blog I discussed the type of training I was doing which was 'Full body training' and that I was having my body fat measured again.
Well had my body fat measured and I was glad to see that I had lost 1.3% body fat and put on another 1.2kg of muscle mass. I was really pleased with this result, considering I had been unwell for part of this phase. It shows that if you eat well you can still make changes even if you are not...
