When artist Rob Catterall decided to paint a life-size three-dimensional gorilla, there was only one design he could possibly choose – a dragon.
Rob has been obsessed with the fantastical flying beasts since he was little.
Now, he’s decorated a life-sized gorilla for Paignton Zoo’s Great Gorillas Project, which is celebrating the Zoo’s 90th birthday. Life-size model gorillas are being sponsored by businesses and community groups, painted in original designs by specially-commissioned artists and displayed in public, creating a unique art trail around Torbay and Exeter....
The Exeter Spitfires play their fifth game of the season and second home game this Sunday 16 June as they face the Bristol Bats for the third game in a row.
It has been a busy few weeks, which started with a fantastic 19-18 victory over the Bats in the Spitfires' first game at their new home, Chadwick Field at St Luke's Sports College.
The club then travelled to Bristol the following week, this time suffering a 24-13 loss. Both games showed further improvement from Exeter as their inexperienced roster continue to learn the game.
On a rather dismal Friday afternoon in the city, there was a little ray of light which stopped the ladies of Exeter becoming too down-hearted at the lack of summer sunshine. Tucked away in a corner of the Exeter Phoenix was the Clothes Swap Soiree, which was an event where local ladies could exchange their unwanted clothes for some new ones without any hefty price tags to do so, and in the process you would be contributing towards the charity SAFE, who are working towards stopping domestic violence and abuse.
After completing a quick spring-clean of my wardrobe I was ready to head...

The battery has an 11 Ah standard battery, which is 10% greater capacity than most other bikes in its class. The Dash is now available with a 15 Ah battery (which fits into the same case) for an extra £170.
