The Exeter & District Netball League is in full swing under the newly covered courts at the University of Exeter. This great facility has seen some cracking matches so far and two or three games into the season we can see how the league is shaping up.

Over 50 dedicated students set off for destinations across Exeter, the south west and further afield raising funds for NSPCC during the Exeter College Jailbreak 2012 last week.

Contestants dressed as animals, superheroes, film characters and fairies were all trying to travel as far away from the college as possible without spending a penny of their own money. Contemporary artists wanted to explore printmaking

An opportunity has been created for contemporary artists to explore how printmaking can extend and evolve their practice.

Double Elephant Print Workshop (DEPW) is keen to reach out to contemporary artists and are particularly interested to encourage crossover between different practices. They are looking for artists with a genuine curiosity about printmaking, but have not included it so far as part of their practice. The Book Shop on Crediton High Street took a big step towards a new social enterprise era on Saturday 17th November with the launch of the share issue to create Crediton Community Bookshop.

Temporary home sought for Police puppy Betty

Police dog handlers are trying to track down a temporary home for a new puppy before she begins her police training.

Betty, an 11-week-old German shepherd, needs a home for nine months to help with socialisation prior to embarking on her new career.

She is too young to start intensive training, so police require a family to home her with until her first birthday.

Once a fully trained general purpose police dog she will be able to assist tracking missing people, locate stolen property, chase and detain suspects and keep order in crowd...

Exeter City move up the table after big win in Bradford

A third goal in as many games for Jamie Cureton gave the Grecians a win on the road against Bradford City.

Exeter took the lead at the end of the first half through Cureton, and a solid display under increasing pressure in the second half sent the travelling fans back home happy.

Grecians boss Paul Tisdale named a third consecutive unchanged starting line-up, with the only change to the bench being the return of Guillem Bauza in place of Tom Nichols.
