The nominations for the NatWest Venus Awards in Devon will close at midnight tonight, with hundreds of nominations sent in so far.

This is the first year the Venus Awards have launched in Devon, following three successful years in neighbouring counties.

Exeter City’s annual awards ceremony took place at the End of Season Gala Ball with 12 awards being dished out in total for achievements on an off the field.

Exeter Netball coach shortlisted for national prize

Hilary Edwards, of the Exeter and District Netball League, has been shortlisted as one of three final candidates for the Sports Coach UK Children's Coach of the Year 2012.

400 nominations were received and Hilary has been selected out of all of those candidates across 35 different sports to represent netball.
