The final episode of The Apprentice aired tonight on BBC1 at 8.00pm and saw Lord Sugar taking on Dr Leah Totton as a business partner with a personal investment of £250,000. Luisa Zissman with a proposed wholesale bakery business narrowly lost out to Leah's business plan for a chain of Medical Cosmetic clinics to be Lord Sugar’s Apprentice for 2013. The nation was on the edge of their seats to find out whether Lord Sugar would take the safe option of baking or the cosmetic route, which for him, has a moral dilemma.

Yet Leah’s new business venture proposal is not a new concept, as...

Latest episode of The Apprentice features the Batribike Dash

The white folding electric bike which appeared on the latest episode of the BBC's The Apprentice (12 June) is a Batribike Dash.

This neat little machine was launched as a completely new model in Autumn 2013 and has proved very popular. In particular it is suitable for very short riders who have found other bikes too large.

The battery has an 11 Ah standard battery, which is 10% greater capacity than most other bikes in its class. The Dash is now available with a 15 Ah battery (which fits into the same case) for an extra £170.

The LCD handlebar controls together with...

TV cameras recently descended on East Devon's Otterton Mill for the filming of a new series of the BBC's Celebrity Antiques Roadtrip . The Mill provided a stop-off point for antiques expert James Braxton and celebrity chef Phil Vickery, after a day spent in Devon hunting for antique treasures.

The visit will be featured in a new autumn series of the popular programme, which will be aired in the lead-up to Children in Need.

James and Phil spent several hours at the Mill, learning first about the milling process under the guidance of Head Miller Brian Hart. The pair...

Old Doctors never really die.....

As Matt Smith's tenure as Dr Who comes to an end, I found this rather amusing video from behind the scenes of upcoming 50th anniversary special. It does seem slightly sad that just as I, and the rest of my family, were beginning to warm to "The New Doctor" he gets replaced by the "Old Dragon". It does present a strange kind of symmetry however.

Approval of the Outline Plans submitted by EDDC to itself, could have a domino effect (see '...
