Major expansion plans for luxury lodge makers

Pathfinder Homes have announced an expansion leading to the recruitment of at least 50 new team members.

The Newton Abbot based, UK’s leading luxury lodge manufacturer plans to create new apprenticeships and skilled jobs in the forthcoming year. The new recruits to Pathfinder Homes will work in a range of areas, including carpentry, painting and decorating, plumbing and even sales, accounts and HR.

Pupils get a taste of life at the RD&E

Thirty-six pupils from schools across Exeter visited the RD&E for their Work Observation Week to make a first step towards their future career.

The annual programme gives young people in Year 10 and above the chance to find out how the RD&E works and to consider the many different jobs the NHS has to offer.

Devon businesses are only recruiting low numbers of young people looking for their first job since leaving education, according to research published today by Devon County Council.

Exeter Central Library, which is being refurbished by Mansell, a Balfour Beatty brand, will be opening its doors to the public on 27 and 28 September for the UK Contractors Group Open Doors Weekend. Open Doors Weekend aims to promote the diverse world of modern construction by giving the public access to selected construction sites around the UK.
