Hospiscare is asking ‘going green’ at the upcoming Twilight Walk in Exmouth, which takes place on Saturday, 7 July. The charity is also taking measures to keep environmental impact at the event as low as possible – for example, no ready-filled water bottles will be available.

Along with the Twilight Walk’s usual 5-mile and 10-mile routes there will be a 5k fun run – and all walkers and runners are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles to cut down on single-use plastic bottles. 140 walkers united to step closer to a cure for Parkinson’s on Sunday 24 June when they took on the Walk for Parkinson’s event at Budleigh Salterton in East Devon.

The walk was one of 37 taking place across the UK throughout 2018 to raise vital funds for the charity Parkinson’s UK. Fundraisers chose either a 1.2-mile, four-mile or 6.75-mile route along the South West Coastal Path from Budleigh Salterton to Otterton. Parkinson’s UK expects to raise £7,000 from the event. Team Mi-space complete 145-mile cycle challenge and raise £15,000 for prostate cancer

Mi-space employees have conquered the two-day, 145-mile cycle challenge, Football to Amsterdam 2018, smashing their £10,000 fundraising target for Prostate Cancer UK along the way.

At the beginning of June, intrepid staff from Mi-space, AJ Eaton, Matt Howells and Sam Heritage, along with teammates from Exeter City Football Club and other partners, travelled to London to start the first leg of the cycle that ultimately ended with the team triumphantly crossing the finish line in Amsterdam.

Places on the Hospiscare Twilight Walk , taking place on 7 July, are going fast, so walkers – and runners – are advised to sign up soon. For the first time, this year’s event includes a 5k fun run as well as the now-traditional 5 or 10 mile walking routes, to cater for women and girls of all ages and levels of fitness.

Going nowhere fast!

It’s the perfect combination – biking and breakfast all under one roof. Exeter Business Club decided to add pedaling to the menu during their weekly breakfast meeting.

Three static bikes took centre stage where members cycled away in shifts, in between enjoying a full English breakfast, and clocking up the equivalent of a 40 mile trip in 90 minutes.
