Members of Alphington Village Forum met with Bovis Homes on Monday (10/12/13) to express their views and objections to the Developer's new plans in the strongest terms. The meeting took place before Bovis Homes' opened their exhibition to show the public their plans for the South West Exeter 1-3 part of the Teignbridge Local Plan. The Forum members were shocked at what they saw, with the plans completely different from those in the original 'Plan Teignbridge'.

Residents of Pinhoe are being invited to have their say on the proposed Home Farm development at Pinhoe Primary School tonight. Proposed planning reforms threaten suburbanisation of Dartmoor National Park, says Authority

Dartmoor National Park Authority is asking the Government to think again about its proposals to allow farm buildings to be converted to housing, schools or nurseries without the need for planning permission.

Jones Lang LaSalle secures consent for redevelopment of former St Loyes School House

Leading property consultants Jones Lang LaSalle has secured outline consent for the redevelopment of the former St Loyes School House on Millbrook Lane.

The School House site is currently owned by the St. Loye’s Foundation and is located in one of the prime areas of Exeter along Topsham Road. Councillors to look at changes to "Exmouth Splash" following consultation

East Devon District Council Cabinet next week will consider a report describing progress on the priority projects helping to regenerate Exmouth.

4,000-year-old pottery discovered at Cranbrook

Archaeologists have discovered a 4,000-year-old pottery beaker during excavations ahead of the construction of the new town at Cranbrook near Exeter. The pot is remarkably complete with only a tiny portion of the rim missing. It was discovered buried in a pit about 2 metres deep along with a stone bracer, an arm guard worn by archers to protect their forearms when shooting. The bracer was made from stone sourced in Langdale in Cumbria.
