Teignbridge District Council alongside Newton Abbot market traders are supporting the high profile Love Your Local Market campaign led by the National Association of British Market Authorities which runs from Wednesday 13 May to Wednesday 27 May.
To celebrate the occasion and boost economic activity, Newton Abbot markets is putting on a trolley dash prize draw to attract new customers and persuade people into the town.
Emegency services have been called following a serious road traffic collision on Tedburn Road, Whitstone (the old A30) after two cars have left the road at around 12.30pm today.
It is believed that there are multiple injuries and the road is currently closed between the garage near Ide and Tedburn Road as police, paramedics, fire and air ambulance attending the scene.
