The head and governors of an Exmouth primary school are making an official complaint to Ofsted after inspectors changed their mind on the grade of their early years stage.
Inspectors originally rated the Early Years Foundation Stage at Brixington Primary School as good in their initial draft report.
Then – following a lengthy quality assurance process – Ofsted told the school that it would be classed as requiring improvement in the final published report.

Stagecoach are introducing additional morning and evening rush-hour buses to the 56 timetable.
The new timetable will benefit Exeter Airport bus services, and comes into effect on Monday 23 February 2015.
Monday to Friday morning and evening peak services will increase to up to every half an hour.
The additional morning rush-hour buses will now arrive at Exeter Airport Terminal at 06:55 (leaving Exeter St David’s at 06:25 and Exeter Bus station at 06:35) and 08:20 (leaving Exeter St David’s at 07:45 and Exeter Bus station at 07:55).

Devon Wildlife Trust is hailing the decision by Natural England to grant the charity a five year licence to monitor the beavers as a key moment in the history of modern conservation. The beavers, which live on the River Otter in East Devon, were first discovered to be breeding in February 2014.
Shoppers in East Devon are being offered a special all-day winter parking deal by East Devon District Council in all its car parks until the 28 February 2015.
Any £2 ticket purchased after 10am can be used in any East Devon District Council pay and display car park for the rest of the day (excluding Parkmobile payments).

A man who died in a collision in Colyton has been named as Richard Daniel Manley, aged 43.
Richard grew up in Plymouth, but has lately been living in Seaton with his young family.
Richard was described by his family as loving father, brother and son who was very proud of his time serving in 26 Royal Engineers. With 26 Parish and Town Council projects funded in 2013-2014, the Parishes Together Fund is looking to allocate more money to local community initiatives.
For the third year running, East Devon District Council (EDDC) and Devon County Council (DCC) are inviting Town and Parish Councils to apply to their joint initiative – the Parishes Together Fund – for grants towards projects that will solve local community issues.
