Cullompton’s new Work Hub ready to ‘break the mould’

Devon County Council is supporting the third of Devon’s work hub projects which is opening in Cullompton on Friday 18th January.

The Hayridge Work Hub is hosting a ‘Jelly’ Event from 10am – 4pm to showcase the facilities on offer and give visitors the opportunity to meet the team, tour the building and meet other potential work hub users.

A jelly is an informal co-working event where home-based and mobile workers and small business owners can bring their laptop or papers to a venue to work, chat and collaborate with others.

Exeter Round Table’s Annual charity fireworks display is being held at Westpoint again this year.

This spectacular event has grown to become the biggest fireworks display in Exeter, and taken on a new dimension since moving to Westpoint three years ago.

Expect a great fun night out for everyone with fairground rides, food and drink stalls and of course a spectacular fireworks display by Firemagic (UK) Ltd.

Gates open at 5.30pm, fireworks display starts at 7.30pm.

Guests from businesses across the city were invited to a VIP media launch event for The Exeter Daily.

Among those who attended were Chris Bentley and John Wood from the Exeter Chiefs commercial team, Exeter city centre manager John Harvey and representatives from Exeter University and The Exeter Chamber of Commerce.

Radiance MediSpa Showcases Local Independent Retailers

Radiance MediSpa hosted ‘A Radiant Christmas’ in aid of The Lady Taverners and Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) with complimentary taster sessions by therapists and stylists at their luxurious venue. BBC Radio Devon presenter Judi Spiers compered the evening with models showcasing the latest Steampunk clothing courtesy of Velveteen Clothes Emporium. The conference centre was transformed into a mini Christmas Fair with unusual and exciting gifts from local independent retailers and Casino Select hosted a roulette table raising further funds for the charities.

Guildhall event asks you to spend money. Just keep within the law.

A new event called The Money taking place at Exeter's Guildhall invites players to spend money. Not fake money, real money. On a table will be a pile of cash and the participants or 'Benefactors' have to unanimously agree what to spend the collective money on. The group will only have two hours to decide. There are no rules and players can be as creative as they like as long as they keep within the law.
