On Thursday 10 October a charity dinner, organised by The John Casson Foundation, took place in aid of South West adoption agency Families for Children. 70 guests attended the sell-out event at Gidleigh Park, generously sponsored by wealth Management Company Brewin Dolphin Exeter and independent wine merchant Private Cellar raising £23,000 for the charity.

Cathedra900 invites you to enjoy 900 Years of Light. 900 Years of Light is a multimedia performance taking place at Exeter Cathedral on 2, 3 & 4 October 2013.
The performance is Mark Ware’s response to the building’s 900 year history and the contributions that craftspeople have made during that time.
900 Years of Light is the culmination of Cathedra 900 and Mark Ware’s work over the last 18 months exploring the Cathedral and interpreting its art and architecture through photography, abstract photomontages, 3D artwork and sound.

The rapidly-growing 50+ Show, which is already held each year in London, Manchester and Glasgow and will be held for the first time in Birmingham this 2013, is about to take place for the first time in Exeter in 2014. The 50+ Show is the largest exhibition in the UK specifically for the active over 50s.
The popularity of the 50+ Show around the country led to calls for it to take place in the West Country, and the organisers have now announced that the 50+ Show will launch at the popular Westpoint arena outside Exeter, on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September 2014.
120 guests attended the opening night and exclusive awards ceremony of The Exeter Contemporary Open, now in its eighth year and held at the Exeter Phoenix.
Sponsored by Chartered Accountants Haines Watts, the exhibition provides an important national platform for contemporary visual artists and is open to the public from 13 September – 2 November 2013.

Over 60 guests joined Brewin Dolphin Exeter and Chartered Accountants Francis Clark at a charity Cricket Match at Sidmouth Cricket Club, in aid of their joint charity of the year; The Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education.
Guests enjoyed a BBQ and a cask of ale, donated by Otter Brewery and sold for the charity, while they watched the two teams from Brewin Dolphin and Francis Clark compete on the field. There was a charity raffle on the evening with the whole event raising over £500 for the charity.
