Police appeal for witnesses after sexual assault in Exmouth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Exmouth at the weekend. The alleged incident happened outside the Q Club in Manchester Street in the early hours of Sunday 10 November 2013. A man approached a 20-year-old woman from Exeter who was stood outside the nightclub and sexually assaulted her. The suspect is described as a stocky Asian man and was wearing a grey hooded top. Police would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this incident. A 22-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released...

Help shape how the Jurassic coast is looked after

The Jurassic Coast Partnership would like to hear from local people about their views on how the World Heritage Site, which extends 95 miles from Exmouth to Studland, should be looked after.

The site is managed through a partnership which includes Dorset County Council and Devon County Councils. A management plan sets out details of how the site is looked after and what activities have been agreed.

The plan is reviewed every five years to keep it up to date and relevant. The opinions of local people are being sought on the new draft plan.

On Sunday 24 November, A la Ronde, near Exmouth, launches its third annual community Christmas Tree Festival.

Local organisations are invited to bring a decorated tree to be displayed in the grounds until 15 December.

The idea is to raise awareness of your organisation in the local area and to convey key messages about what you do to other participants and A la Ronde’s many visitors during the run up to Christmas.

Police in Exeter are appealing for the public's help to find a missing man, Police are concerned for the welfare of 51 year-old Robert Salter who lives in the St Davids area of the city and was last seen at around 1pm on Friday, October 11, 2013. Robert is described as a white man between 5’ 7” and 5’ 10” tall, of slim build with short dark brown hair. He may be wearing a cream fleece and a black leather jacket and using a walking stick. Hospiscare hairdresser turns up heat for cycle challenge

A Hospiscare hairdresser is set to complete a 450km cycle challenge in blistering temperatures next month after raising more than £4k for the local charity.

58 year-old Lesley Weeks has spent the past year fundraising to take part in the challenge which takes place across Vietnam and Cambodia next month.

New homes for Exmouth with priority given to local needs

Work is set to start this autumn to provide 18 much-needed affordable homes in Fore Street, Exmouth.
