Police and fire crews have begun investigating the cause of major blaze at an Exeter car show room. At its height around 40 firefighters tackled the fire, at Hendys Car Supermarket on the Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, which was reported to be under control by 7:45am. The owners of Rock Pool Cafe, which was severely damged during a blaze on Saturday 26th April, have been inundated with messages of support and offers of help and donations on it's Facebook page.

Firefighters were called to a cafe hut on Coryton Cove Beach, Dawlish, today (Saturday 26th April) due to a fire that had been started deliberately.
Crews were alerted to the incident after reports of something on fire next to the train station. One appliance from Dawlish was initially mobilsed to the incident, however a further appliance from Teignmouth was later called to the scene.
On their arrival at 1.41pm crews confirmed the fire to involve a single storey cafe, which was well alight, crews got to work with four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet.

A Secondary school in Exeter was evacuated this morning after a ‘suspicious’ building fire was discovered. Staff and Students were evacuated from West Exe Technology College in St. Thomas after a fire was discovered in the school’s toilets at around 11am this morning. Fire crews have been called to the Exeter College site today after reports of a vehicle fire.
The estates manager of Exeter College, Steve Strang said "An external vehicle came onto site in one of our loading bays and was discovered to have smoldering paper on board.
"Two applicances attended the scene to dampen down and we are now in the clearing up process. "There was no obvious cause and there was no immediate danger to our students staff or buildings.”
