Exeter Cathedral is organising three family craft sessions during the May half term holidays, together with the chance for children to borrow one of our free Explorer Backpacks and discover the Cathedral for themselves.
The activities, which are being organised by the Cathedral’s specialist education team, include brass rubbing, badge making, and a whole morning discovering the world of knights and dragons! There’s also a special opportunity to make your own ink and paint to use to create your own medieval manuscript!
Exeter residents can apply for a free admission pass (...
This years contestants include Terry the Tree Frog, Randy the Panda, Mary-Rose the beautiful flamingo and a brand-new, first time competitor – Wendy the Walrus!
Wendy has had her bath, exfoliated her skin and polished her tusks but what happens when the other animals boo her off stage?
Join Wendy on her magical journey to the bottom of ocean where she makes some unlikely new friends who help her to re-think what real beauty is.
Come and join the team at A la Ronde for a ‘Grand Tour’ of all the places visited by former owners of the quirky sixteen-sided house, cousins Jane and Mary Parminter.
Over the May half term, A la Ronde will be running an Explorer Family Trail around the grounds based on the traditional European tour. Visitors young and old can look for and try to solve hidden clues, do the activities and win a prize. The trail runs from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 May, from 10.30am to 5.30pm and is £1.50 per child.
On the 26 May, from 11am to 4pm, the team is also holding a half term fun craft...
