Paul Morgan is the Organist Emeritus of Exeter Cathedral. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London and at Christ Church, Oxford where he was Organ Scholar. He moved to Exeter in 1969 as Assistant Organist under Lionel Dakers and was appointed Organist in 1999. Until its closure, Paul was a Lecturer in the Music Department of the University of Exeter and, for twenty years, Organs Adviser to the Exeter Diocesan Advisory Committee. David Davies is the Assistant Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral. Originally a native of Snowdonia in North Wales, David was educated at Eton College, Magdalen College, Oxford (where he was organ scholar), and Yale University. He has worked in church music on both sides of the Atlantic, living in the USA for five years, and as Director of the Girls’ Choir and Sub Organist at Guildford Cathedral for six years.

Alesha Dixon to join Boyzone for Devon show

Newton Abbot Racecourse can reveal that singer and television presenter Alesha Dixon will be Boyzone’s Special Guest at their headline show at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Sunday June 28.

The concert, which is confirmed to be Boyzone’s only South West tour date, will take place on Sunday June 28.

Ben Howard wows Plymouth Pavilions crowd

Brit Award Winning, Ben Howard wowed the crowds at his homecoming show last night at Plymouth Pavilions.

Two hours of awe-inspiring music, backed by his five-piece band. A man of few words, captivated the crowd by playing tracks from his two albums ‘Every Kingdom’ and his recently released ‘I Forgot Where We Were’ which was released in October last year. He opened the show with ‘Am I In Your Light?’, one of his lesser known, darker tracks, which set the tone for the night. Artigiano in Exeter is holding a Music and Craft Beer festival from Thursday 30th April –Sunday 3rd May.

The Artigiano Acoustic sessions kick the weekend off on Thursday with Roger Styles and Friday evening sees Richard James headlining with BBC introducing artist Emma Lauren supporting.
