Students from the University of Exeter have stormed to victory in an international competition, with their innovative app that allows users to lock and unlock doors with their mobile phone.

The team of Computer Science undergraduates secured victory in the Project Arduino competition, organised by leading engineering and technology company Thales, following a worldwide public vote.

Year 12 students from across the region gathered at the first ever Exeter Progression Student Conference on Saturday 29 November. The StudyPortals International Student Satisfaction Awards 2014 are based on 16,427 comments made by 6,923 international students in Europe. These reviews provide rare insights into universities’ performance from an international student perspective. Exeter College is part of a collaborative group staging Connected Exeter - a digital design weekend - across the city on 18 and 19 October.
